Cal Poly Women's Tennis Falls to San Jose State in Home Opener

SAN LUIS OBISPO – The Cal Poly women's tennis team lost to San Jose State 4-0 in their home opener Sunday afternoon at Mustang Courts.
The Mustangs started the afternoon off in doubles play, where Susanne Boyden and Abigail Bacharach were defeated 6-2 by Marine Dans and Gaelle Ray 6-2 on court two. Seriana Saltzen and Molly Reed were defeated by Sybille Gauvain and Marie Klocker 6-2 on court one, giving the doubles point to San Jose State.
Following doubles play, the Mustangs started singles, where Sayaka Tsugai was defeated by Miyo Kobayashi 6-0, 6-0 on court six.
Louise Oxnevad was beat by Gauvain 6-1, 6-1 on court one, while Bacharach was beat by Ray 6-3, 6-1 on court five, clinching the match for San Jose State.
