Joe-Smith Leads Cal Poly on First Day of Husky Classic

SEATTLE — Daijah Joe-Smith paced the Cal Poly women's indoor track and field team as the Mustangs opened The Husky Classic in Dempsey Arena on Friday.
Smith clocked a 200-meter time of 25.50 seconds, bettering her 26.06 at the same venue during the UW Invitational two weekends ago. (Her outdoor PR remains 24.45.) The sophomore finished 25th out of 39 overall.
Twelve more Mustangs are scheduled to compete when the majority of events are held Saturday, resuming at 9:05 a.m. and going through 6 p.m.
