
Mustang Men's Tennis Team Sweeps Portland, 7-0

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Cal Poly men's tennis team swept a non-conference match against Portland at Mustang Courts on Saturday afternoon, 7-0.
The 67th-ranked Mustangs (7-5) clinched the doubles point when Andre Dome and Jordan Bridge topped the Pilots' Alex Ferrero and Ratan Gill, 8-2.
Marco Comuzzo and Matt Thomson defeated Michel Hu Kwo and Jackson Martin at No. 2 doubles, 8-2, before Naveen Beasley and Derek Klein edged Justin Guay and Kent Andreasen, 8-5.
In singles, Dome, the No. 30-ranked player by the ITA, sidelined Gill, 7-5, 6-3.
Bridge provided the clinching victory when he bested Hu Kwo, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3.
Cal Poly also got singles triumphs from Comuzzo over Ferrero, 7-6 (5), 6-4; Klein over Guay, 6-4, 6-4; Beasley (right) over Martin, 7-6 (10), 6-1; and Thomson over Andreasen, 7-5, 6-1.
Portland fell to 8-6.
Cal Poly will return to the courts at 1 p.m. Sunday against Tulane (10-4).
