
Dome Sweeps Fourth-Ranked Pecotic in Cal Poly Loss to Princeton

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Cal Poly senior Andre Dome defeated the fourth-ranked singles player in the nation Sunday afternoon, but the 45th-ranked Mustang men's tennis team fell at home to No. 56 Princeton, 4-3.
Dome (9-2 in duals), ranked No. 30 last week by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, swept No. 4 Matija Pecotic 6-2, 6-2, to improve his winning streak to seven.
Cal Poly (6-5) also got singles wins from Marco Comuzzo, 7-5, 7-6 over Matt Spindler; and Derek Klein, 6-3, 7-6 over Augie Bloom.
The Tigers (10-3), who won their seventh consecutive dual, secured the doubles point as the 32nd-ranked tandem of Pecotic and Zack McCourt edged Dome and Jordan Bridge, 9-7. The Mustangs earned an 8-4 win in doubles from Comuzzo and Matt Thomson against Spindler and Dan Davies.
