
Cal Poly Men's Tennis Sweeps DePaul, 7-0

TUCSON, AZ – The Cal Poly men's tennis team returned to winning ways on Saturday with a dominating, 7-0, win over DePaul University at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center in Tucson, AZ. With the win the Mustangs improve to 6-3 overall while DePaul falls to 4-4.
The match opened with doubles play with the Mustangs sweeping the three sets for the point. Seniors Andre Dome and Jordan Bridge teamed to defeat Filip Dzanko and Mathias Hambach, 8-4. Cal Poly secured the point when Naveen Beasley and Jurgen De Jager defeated Adam Reihart and Paul John, 8-3. Marco Comuzzo and Matt Thomson completed the sweep with an 8-7 win over Jan-Willem Feilzer and Sten Leusink.
In singles play, freshman Derek Klein made fast work of Feilzer on the fourth court with a 6-2, 6-0 win to put the Mustangs up two. Dome, ranked 32nd, defeated Dzanko on the first court, 6-1 and 6-1.
Jurgen De Jager defeated John, 6-2, 6-4, on the fifth court while Bridge defeated Hambach in three sets, 4-6, 6-3 and 6-2. Naveen Beasley took care of Reihart, 6-3 and 6-4, on the sixth court while Comuzzo defeated Leusink from the third position, 2-6, 6-3 and 6-4, to complete the sweep for the team.
