
Mustang Women's Tennis Team Dominates Cal State Stanislaus, 7-0

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Cal Poly women's tennis program didn't lose a set on Saturday afternoon while defeating Cal State Stanislaus 7-0 on Mustang Courts.
Cal Poly's No. 1 doubles tandem of freshman Louise Oxnevad (right) and junior Alexa Lee got the day started by making quick work of the Warriors' McKenzy Harden and Davina Meza, 8-1. Cal Poly also received two more 8-1 wins at No. 2 and 3 doubles, as juniors Jen Cornea and Ane McPike defeated Jessica Stokes and Kelsey Chrisco before freshman Haley Kepler and junior Kathryn Webb did the same facing Aubree Brenda and Kaitlyn Ireland.
At No. 1 singles, Oxnevad topped Meza 6-4, 6-1. Cornea downed Chrisco at No. 2, 6-1, 6-1. The Mustangs received a trio of 6-0, 6-0 singles routs courtesy of Lee (over Harden at No. 3), Webb (versus Stokes at No. 4) and McPike (against Brenda at No. 5). Kepler defeated Ireland 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
Cal Poly (2-4) returns to action when hosting Big West Conference foe UC Irvine at 12 noon Sunday on Mustang Courts.
