De Los Santos Finishes Tied for 20th Place With Final-Round 69

PRINCEVILLE, Hawai'i -- Cal Poly freshman Justin De Los Santos moved into the top 20 with a final-round 69 Wednesday at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational men's golf tournament at the Makai Golf Club at Princeville on the island of Kauai.
De Los Santos finished in a tie for 20th place with six other golfers, all posting a 54-hole five-under-par 211 total on the 7,223-yard, par-72 course.
As a team, Coach Scott Cartwright's Mustangs carded a final-round one-under-par 287 total and finished 13th in the field of 18 teams with a two-under-par 862 total.
Cal State Fullerton edged Louisville by one stroke for the team title. The Titans finished 42 under par with their 822 total while Louisville posted an 823. Mississippi State was third at 826.
Top individual honors went to Robert Geibel of Louisville, who won a three-way playoff on the first extra hole. Geibel posted three straight rounds of67 and finished tied for first with Cal State Fullerton's Mark Anguiano and Mississippi State's Chad Ramey, all with 15-under-par 201 totals.
Mustang Camden Price posted a final-round 74 for a 219 total while Cole Nygren finished with a 71, also for a 219 total as the pair shared 63rd place.
Jordan Wright carded a 75 for a 220 total and 67th place while Mitch Martin recorded a 73 for a 224 total and 80th place.
De Los Santos (pictured above) carded a minus-6 total on the par-five holes and recorded 15 birdies over 54 holes, tied for fifth in the field of 93 golfers.
Cal Poly concluded its fall schedule with Wednesday's round and returns to action Feb. 3-4 at the Sea Best Invitational, to be held at The Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
