Mustangs Climb Leaderboard during Final Round of Canadian Collegiate

FOOT’S BAY, Ontario – Highlighted by sophomore Rafael Bobo-Lloret’s 23rd-place finish – an improvement of 15 positions during Tuesday’s final round of Kent State’s Canadian Collegiate – the Cal Poly men’s golf program finished its season-opening tournament in ninth place.
Last season’s Big West Freshman of the Year honoree, Bobo-Lloret (above) collected three birdies to finish with a final-round, one-over 72 and a three-round total of eight-over 221 (78-71-72).
Freshman Frederick Egnatios was 45th with a three-round, 16-over 229 (80-73-76), climbing 10 spots during the final round.
Senior Jack Jarvis (79-77-75) and freshman Leo McDonough (79-75-77) shared 52nd with twin 18-over 231s. Jarvis enjoyed two birdies Tuesday to improve 15 spots from his morning position. McDonough, meanwhile, jumped seven spots with three birdies during the final round. Freshman Vidur Subramaniam (75-76-81) was a spot behind in 56th.
As a program, Cal Poly matched Penn State as the field’s biggest movers Tuesday with each side climbing four positions. The Mustangs finished with a 54-over 906.
