
Kyle Inks Clears 17- feet, 6.5-inches for PR at Stanford Invite

STANFORD, Calif. – Senior Kyle Inks cleared a personal-best in placing third in the pole vault while fellow Daniel Erdman had a mark over 55-feet in the shot put in the second day of competition at the Stanford Invitational.
Inks hit his PR on his final attempt to clear 17-feet, 6.5-inches. Inks improved on his previous best of 17-feet, .75-inches set last season. Teammate John Prader just missed his PR in placing fifth when he cleared 16-feet, 8.75-inches. Prader's best mark, 16-feet, 9.25-inches, was set last year.
Erdman placed seventh in the invitational shot put with a mark of 55-feet, 1-inch. Erdman hit his mark on his fifth and final attempt. Competing in the collegiate shot put was Joshua Hines with a mark of 48-feet, 8.25-inches and Brian Hutchinson with a throw of 47-feet, 5.25-inches.
In the men's 800 sophomore John Guerrero his heat and finished 26th overall with a personal-best 1:52.28 with teammates Aric Champagne and Doug Bettisworth posting times of 1:55.11 and 1:57.38 respectively.
In the women's 800 freshman Jenna Davis was clocked in 2:11.77 and 37th place overall while Lea Rivers-Birt just missed her PR with a time of 2:12.74. Hannah Edwards was clocked in 2:12.89.
