
Men's Tennis Sweeps USF, 6-0, in Home Opener

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Cal Poly men's tennis team improved to 4-3 on the season with a 6-0 sweep of the University of San Francisco Saturday afternoon on the Mustang Courts.
Cal Poly dominated singles play, winning five of the six matches in straight sets.
Andre Dome, ranked 22nd in the nation, made quick work on the first court of USF's William Schumacher, 6-1, 6-2.
Brian McPhee, on the second court, won 6-3 and 6-3 over Germain Bahri while Marco Comuzzo dominated, 6-1, 6-0, on the third court over Johan Samuelsson.
Jordan Bridge and Sebastian Bell kept it going on the fourth and sixth courts. Bridge won 6-3, 6-2 over Richard Bucalem with Bell winning, 6-4, 6-2, over Jacob Hartwig.
Jurgen De Jager picked up the Mustangs sixth win in singles with a come from behind win. Bernardo Saraiva won the first set 7-6 with De Jager bouncing back to win the second 6-2. The match was decided with a tiebreaker with De Jager winning 11-9 in the third.
Doubles play was cancelled with the match determined and darkness.
