Dome Advances to Third Round of ITA

TULSA, OK – Cal Poly junior Andre Dome advanced to the third round of the ITA All-American Championships on Monday with a straight set win over Ignacio Tobada of Georgia. The championships are hosted by the University of Tulsa.
Dome made quick work of his foe from Georgia, wining 6-1 6-2 over Tobada. Dome advanced to the third round with wins over Ax Hillard of Texas (6-1, 6-1) and Toboada.
Dome will face Andreas Mies of Auburn who advanced by defeating Mark Kovacs of Purdue, 6-1 6-2. He backed that up with a 7-6, 7-5 win over Mate Zsiga of Baylor.
The Arroyo Grande High School graduate will face Miles of Auburn in the third round on Wednesday. .
Dome is the first Mustang to advance to the third round of the All-American Championships qualifying singles play.
