2011-12: Posted a 6-8 mark in first season of wrestling at Cal Poly … lost his only dual meet match of the season in overtime to David Prieto of Utah Valley, 5-1 … compiled 5-1 mark en route to third-place finish in California Collegiate Open at San Francisco State … finished fifth in Pac-12 finals at 184 pounds with a 1-2 record … one of his wins was by major decision, 16-4, against Eli Sanchez in the California Collegiate Open.

2010-11 – Redshirt … member of Cal Poly football team and redshirted as a freshman … switched to wrestling during the offseason.

High School – Finished third in the state at 189 pounds as a senior (2010) at Santiago High School in Corona … placed first in CIF-Southern Section Eastern Division finals to earn spot in CIF-Southern Section Master Meet, where he finished third … also lettered in football, where he rushed for over 800 yards in each of his last two seasons under head coach Jeff Steinberg ... twice earned All-Big VIII League first-team accolades after rushing for 849 yards (6.5 average) and six TDs as a senior and 887 yards (7.6 average) and seven scores as a junior ... posted three 100-yard games as a senior, including 181 yards on just 10 carries in 2009 season opener against Esperanza, and five games past the century mark as a junior ... caught eight passes in both 2008 and 2009 ... led Sharks to 6-5 record in 2008 and 5-6 mark in 2009, both teams qualifying for the CIF-Southern Section Division II playoffs ... returned a kickoff 99 yards for a score against J.W.
