The 2026 NCAA Championships will take place on March 19-21 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. Last year, the Mustangs sent four wrestlers to NCAAs for the fourth straight year — just the second time in program history the Mustangs have accomplished that feat and the first time since qualifying at least five from 2003 to 2007. Romney shined on the national stage in Philadelphia, capturing third at 133 pounds to earn All-American honors and become the highest finisher in program history in that weight class at NCAAs. The 2024-25 Pac-12 Wrestler of the Year finished last season with an impressive 19-5 record, recording 13 victories over ranked opponents.
Cal Poly returns 18 wrestlers from last year’s team, including Romney, Trevor Tinker and Koda Holeman, who all qualified for NCAAs a year ago.
