SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Highlighted by a home dual against Michigan State, the Cal Poly wrestling program officially unveiled its full 2026-27 schedule on Tuesday.
Featuring five home duals, season tickets for the 2026-27 Cal Poly wrestling season are available now at GoPoly.com/Tickets. Single dual tickets go on sale Thursday and times for all home duals, along with every road event this season for the Mustangs, can be found on the Cal Poly wrestling schedule page.
For the first time since the 2022-23 season, the Mustangs open the year away from home, traveling to Annapolis, Maryland, on Sunday, Nov. 1, to take part in the Navy Classic.
Cal Poly gets its 2026-27 home slate underway on Friday, Nov. 13, when the Mustangs welcome Big Ten foe Michigan State to the Mott Athletics Center for a 7:30 p.m. showdown. The dual is part of the program’s annual Alumni Weekend and tickets to all the festivities for that weekend can be purchased HERE. The Mustangs are 3-1 all-time against the Spartans, with the last meeting happening all the way back in 1979.

The Mustangs then hit the road for over two months, traveling to the Roadrunner Open hosted by Cal State Bakersfield on Nov. 22 and the prestigious Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational on Dec. 4-5. Last year, Cal Poly earned a program record five placers at the Cliff Keen Invitational and secured its highest team finish (ninth) in 16 years.
Cal Poly heads to Air Force on Dec. 18 to open Pac-12 dual action as part of a revamped Pac-12 Conference in wrestling that now features nine teams — Air Force, Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, Little Rock, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Northern Illinois, Oregon State and South Dakota State.
Next up is a trip to the historic Ken Kraft Midlands Championships hosted by Northwestern on Dec. 29-30. The Mustangs had a historic showing at Midlands last year as well as a program record six Mustangs placed in their respective weight classes to help Cal Poly earn its best team finish in program history at the tournament (fourth).
The Mustangs get back to Pac-12 dual action on Jan. 10 when they travel to Oregon State before returning home to host four straight duals inside the Mott Athletics Center. Cal Poly takes on Little Rock in San Luis Obispo on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 1 p.m., South Dakota State on Friday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m., North Dakota State on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. and Northern Colorado on Friday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m.
Cal Poly closes out its regular season with a trip to Northern Illinois on Feb. 21 and a visit to Cal State Bakersfield on Feb. 24.
Little Rock will host the Pac-12 Championships on March 4-5. Cal Poly captured a program record three Pac-12 individual titles a season ago while hosting the conference championships for the first time since 2005.
The 2027 NCAA Championships are scheduled to take place on March 18-20 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Cal Poly sent four wrestlers to NCAAs a year ago and two of them are back this season — Koda Holeman (125 pounds) and Ceasar Garza (184 pounds).
All-American Zeth Romney also highlights the list of returners for the Mustangs. Romney, who placed third at 133 pounds at the 2025 NCAA Championships, suffered a season-ending injury last December.
