Entering her second season as an assistant coach with the Cal Poly women's tennis program,
Cami Hubbs spent the 2014-15 season as an assistant coach for the College of Saint Mary tennis program in Omaha, NE. Prior to her stint with the Flames, Hubbs worked as a graduate assistant with the Illinois State women's tennis program while she pursued a master's degree in recreation and administration.
Hubbs began her coaching career at the University of Dayton, where she worked as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's tennis programs from 2011-12.
Hubbs spent her playing career at Ohio State (2007-2011) and set a school record for singles match victories with 36 during her freshman season of 2007-08. As a sophomore, Hubbs helped record 22 doubles wins, which included a 15-11 mark during the spring playing from the second position.
As a junior with the Buckeyes, Hubbs earned an NCAA Tournament doubles victory, while earning OSU Scholar-Athlete status and placement on the Big Ten All-Academic team.
During her four seasons with Ohio State, Hubbs collected 159 victories, all of which included 77 singles wins and 82 triumphs during doubles action.
Hubbs attended Omaha Westside High, where she was a three-time National High School All-American going a perfect 117-0 during her prep career. At No. 1 singles, where she was a four-time state champ, Hubbs led Omaha Westside to state championships in 2004, 2005 and 2007.
After her undefeated run at Omaha Westside, Hubbs was featured in the May 27, 2007 Sports Illustrated edition which highlighted her 117-0 prep career record.
