2019-20 -- Cross Country: During his redshirt-junior season, traveled to the 11th annual Wisconsin Invitational Presented by Under Armour on Oct. 18 ... at Zimmer Championship Course, in an environment simulating the NCAA Finals, ran the Madison 8K course in 25:40.2, good for 204th altogether. Track: Spring 2020 season was cancelled; however, retains year of eligibility moving forward ... meanwhile, again earned Conference Commissioner’s Highest Honors academically.
2018-19 -- Track: Scored a combined 6 points for the Mustangs at the Big West Championships from May 10-11 at UC Santa Barbara, including a fifth-place finish in the Conference Final for the 5,000 meters, with a time of 14:44.68 ... a day earlier at Pauley Track, took seventh in the 10,000-meter championship via a career-best 30:59.20 ... also in Goleta, on April 27 won the 3,000m thanks to another PR: 8:20.51 ... his season-best 5,000m effort — 14:35.91 — earned 20th overall in a loaded field at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific April 18 ... at the 37th annual Cal Poly #ShareSLO Invite on March 23, not only won the 3,000m (in 8:29.18), but also clocked a PR in the 1,500 (3:53.04) ... in addition, made the conference’s all-academic team for a second season in a row. Cross Country: Advanced to his second career NCAA postseason, traveling to Sacramento for the Western Regionals on Nov. 9 ... took 63rd place in the 10k national qualifier with a performance of 30:48.9 at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex ... despite missing the conference finals with an injury, won another Big West Championship ring, following a regular season that included a team-best 11th-place performance at the Stanford Invitational, where he posted an 8k of 24:29.4 on Sept. 29 ... came in 133rd place at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals in Madison on Oct. 13, via 25:22.4 ... began his fall earning 34th place at Cal State Fullerton’s Covert Classic on Sept. 1 (in 25:43.4) before clocking a 25:17.4 (tallying seventh place) at UCSB’s Lagoon Open Sept. 15 ... also made the Big West All-Academic Team.
2017-18 -- Redshirted ... earned a spot on the Big West Conference Commissioner’s Highest Honor Roll for academics.
2016-17 -- Track: Competed in two events at the Big West Championships as a true freshman, including a fourth-place finish in the 10,000 meters on May 12 — just one spot back of an all-conference honor — at 31:58.58 ... returned to Fullerton’s Titan Track Complex on May 13 to take eighth place in the conference 5,000m final, at 15:05.78 ... season-best 3,000-meter performance, 8:39.30, came at the Blue-Green Rivalry dual meet vs. the Gauchos at home on April 29, helping the Mustangs earn a 110-88 victory ... his top 5,000m time, 14:14.57, took 19th place at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 14 ... also earned Big West Commissioner’s Highest Honors for academics. Cross Country: Won the Big West Conference Freshman of the Year award after finishing fifth at the conference championships in Hawai’i, where he ran the 8k Kahuku Golf Course in 25:07.0 on Oct. 29 ... competed unattached at his first two meets of the year, taking 15th place at the Lagoon Open around UCSB on Sept. 3 (in 25:41.40) and 12th at the Stanford Invite on Oct. 1 (23:50.8) ... made his Mustang scoring debut at the Adidas Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind. on Oct. 15, posting a 96th-place time of 25:15.8 ... finished the fall with a 56th-place NCAA West Regional performance, running Haggin Oaks in Sacramento in 30:46.0 on Nov. 11.
Prep -- As a senior at Lynbrook High School in San Jose, finished 10th overall (including second in the Division 2 classification) at the CIF State Cross Country Championships, running the 5k course at Woodward Park in Fresno in 15:06.40 ... went on to compete at the 2015 Nike Nationals in December, running a 55th-place 15:53.0 at Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, Ore. ... his other top cross country times were 10:33.2 for the 2.05 mile (winning the 2015 Firebird Invite) and 15:23.8 for the 3 mile (good for another win, at the Monterey Bay Invitational later that season) ... in track, won the 2016 Central Coast Section title in the 3,200 meters, at 9:12.41 ... also came in fourth place in the 3,000m at the Stanford Invitational in his final spring with the Vikings, at 8:31.34 ... in addition to being class valedictorian, was a member of his campus’ Link Crew and Spanish Honor Society ... also visited Wake Forest and Santa Clara; chose Cal Poly because of the “location, people, academics and sense of peace.”
