High School—Riley attended High Tech High School in Chula Vista, CA. She was a member of the track and field team, and she was a captain her senior year. Riley was a state qualifier in cross country twice. She was also named to the Union Tribune All Academic Team.
Personal—Riley is majoring in kinesiology and hopes to work in osteopathic medicine or physical therapy. She enjoys reading, singing, dancing and making jokes. Riley has a younger sister named Drew. The biggest influences on her as an athlete have been her mother and Charles Swindell who taught her to give her best.
