2012: Qualified in the high jump for the Big West Championships when he cleared 6-feet, 2.5-inches… Posted a season-best of 6-feet, 4.75-inches at the Cal Poly UCSB dual meet… At same meet posted a mark of 36-feet, 6.75-inches in the triple jump….
2011: Qualified for the Big West Conference Championships in the high jump and cleared 6-feet, 2.75-inches… Posted best marks in the high jump at the Fresno State/Cal Poly dual meet when he cleared 6-feet-, 4.75-inches… In the long jump had a leap of 21-feet, 5.25-inches at the same meet… In the triple jump posted a mark of 36-feet- 8.50 inches at the Cal Poly/UCSB dual… and in the hammer posted a mark of 48-feet, 4.50 inches at the Fresno State/Cal Poly dual meet…

Personal-- Phillip was born and raised in Bakersfield. He is the son of Phillip and Lucy McCullum. He has one brother, Adrian, and one sister, Alexandra. He is studying business and minoring in economics.
