Shasta College—All American and third in state for javelin, also received the Coach’s Award.
High School—Marissa Westlake attended Shasta High School in Redding, CA where she played varsity softball, varsity volleyball and was on the swim team. She was named MVP in volleyball her sophomore year. Marissa played in the all-star game for softball.
Personal-- Marissa is a Kinesiology major who wants to be a physical therapist. She loves riding horses and worked as a wrangler at a camp. Marissa's brother Aaron, was drafted by the Detroit Tigers. She says he has had the biggest influence on her as an athlete because he has shown her what is takes to compete at the next level and that hard work and dedication pays off.
