Prep -- With Strathmore High School, won the 2017 CIF Central Section Masters Championship for the 300m hurdles, with a school-record performance of 44.27 seconds ... came in second at the 2018 section finals, via 44.37 ... also during senior year for the Spartans, posted a victorious time of 45.97 to claim the win at the Mike Young Invitational, prior to winning the Division 2 title in 46.87, en route to a 17th-place finish at the overall CIF State Championship, in 44.97 (following her 12th-place finish at the 2017 state finals) ... 100m hurdle PR, 15.45, tallied sixth place at the 2018 section championships ... additionally, played water polo for Strathmore (starting at guard, tallying 203 goals during her career, plus 137 assists and 132 steals as a captain) along with competing in swimming (specializing in the sprint freestyle events, with bests of 26 seconds for the 50m free & 59 seconds in the 100) ... was an honor roll student every term, in addition to earning President’s List accolades, NAFT Engineering Certification and Academy of Engineering PLTW Certification ... also participated in ASB, LDS Seminary and Just Serve.
Personal -- Chose Cal Poly because of its “high reputation, rigorous schooling, and its Learn by Doing mantra,” adding, “I also fell in love with the coaching staff and how they made me feel valued and meaningful” ...parents are each BYU alumni; hails from an athletic family including several former Division I student-athletes including uncle Danny Bower, who was BYU’s leading 3-point shooter & free-throw shooter in 1998 ... majors in Kinesiology, with career aspirations of becoming a pediatrician.
