2015-16 -- Cross Country: While redshirting and competing unattached, won the Cal Poly Invitational on Oct. 17, finishing Fairbanks Memorial Course in San Luis Obispo with a victorious 8K performance of 26:40.9 ... began the fall with a time of 25:55.71 at the Lagoon Open hosted by UC Santa Barbara on Sept. 5.
College of the Sequoias -- As a freshman in Visalia, ran the ninth-fastest 10K time in the nation among the two-year college ranks: 32:13.09 (at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival) ... also took sixth place in the 1,500-meter race at the Mt. SAC Relays in 2014, at 4:00.91 ... his top 5,000m time then came as a Giant sophomore: 14:50.23 (at the Occidental Invitational) ... in cross country, his best 4-mile performance was 20:51 (at the 2013 CCCAA State Championships).
Prep -- As a senior at Monache High School in Porterville, took 37th place at the CIF State Cross Country Championships for Division 2, running to a 5K time of 16:04 ... his track PRs included 4:33.30 for the 1,600 meters (winning the Mission Oak dual meet crown) and 9:33.26 for the 3,200m ... helped the Marauders to a combined 9-1 record between 2012 and 2013 ... also participated in ASB and Link Crew.
Personal -- Born on May 9, 1995 in Porterville ... son of Jesus Sr. and Patricia ... majors in history ... chose Cal Poly because it's "close to home and it's a great school athletically and academically."
