As a true freshman, Daynes posted a 5-6 overall record and was 1-3 in dual matches all coming from the sixth court... In doubles play Daynes was 9-13 overall and 6-9 in dual matches with a 3-3 record in BWC matches... Teamed with Derek Klein and Matt Thompson for most of the doubles matches...
El Toro High School:
The left-hander has been ranked since 2008 and has been named a player to watch... Ranked 129th in the nation and 18th in California. During the 2011 season he reached a national ranking of 80 and 64 during the 2010 season ... In 2011, Daynes was named All County Boys Tennis Honorable Mention. He was ranked number 8 under 16 boys player in Southern California...At the Southern California Sectional in 2010, Daynes reached the quarterfinals defeating Drew Dawson, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3, in the Round of 16. As a freshman he was named a Top 10 Freshman by OC Varsity. As a freshman he was ranked No. 10 in the SoCal boys 14 and under ranking.
