2014 -- Started all 12 games at center as a junior and earned All-Big Sky Conference honorable mention praise for the second straight year ... part of an offensive line that helped the Mustang offense to a No. 1 national ranking in rushing, No. 4 in first downs, No. 6 in third-down conversions, No. 11 in total offense, No. 16 in fourth-down conversions and No. 17 in time of possession ... one of 50 players named to Football Championship Subdivision Athletic Directors Association Academic All-Star Team ... also named to 2014 Big Sky Conference All-Academic Football Team.
2013 -- Started all 12 games as Cal Poly's center in sophomore campaign ... part of offensive line that helped Mustangs finish first in the nation in rushing offense and No. 2 in sacks allowed ... earned All-Big Sky Conference honorable mention praise ... played in 2014 Spring Game.
2012 -- Played in all but one game as a redshirt freshman, missing only the Wyoming contest ... part of an offensive line which helped Cal Poly’s offense finish first in the Football Championship Subdivision in passing efficiency, third in rushing offense, seventh in scoring offense, eighth in fewest sacks allowed (10 in 12 games) and No. 13 in total offense.
2011 -- Redshirt.
High School -- Sippel was a center under head coach Kris Richardson at Folsom High School, helping the Bulldogs to a 14-1 overall mark, the Delta River League title and a berth in the state Division II championship game at the Home Depot Center in Carson, defeating Serra 48-20 ... Folsom won 14 straight games after losing its season opener to Grant (Sacramento) 49-14 ... a team captain, Sippel earned first-team All-Delta River League and All-Metro honors as an offensive lineman ... also was named to the Sacramento All-Star Team on the offensive line and earned second-team all-state Division II honors on the offensive line as selected by MaxPreps ... named team’s lineman of the year and was selected to play in Sacramento vs. East Bay All-Star Game ... lettered three times in football, helping Bulldogs to combined 34-5 record and three Delta River League titles ... was a defensive end as a sophomore ... earned first-team all-league and all-metro honors as a junior ... also played basketball as a freshman and sophomore ... in addition to Cal Poly, Sippel was recruited by UC Davis, San Diego and Sacramento State ... chose to be a Mustang because of Cal Poly’s “academic reputation and ‘Learn by Doing’ approach” along with an “opportunity to play competitive football, its graduates are sought after by industry, beautiful location and great college town/community.”
