Community College -- Played two seasons at Laney College, enrolled at Cal Poly in the spring quarter and participated in spring drills ... as a sophomore at Laney, recorded 56 tackles (37 solo), including 6.0 sacks and 12.0 tackles for lost yardage while forcing two fumbles ... also notched a quarterback hurry and blocked one kick en route to the Elton Reeder Eagle Award ... Laney was 2-8 last fall ... Omilabu earned 25 total tackles (18 solo), including a sack and 6.0 tackles for lost yardage, in freshman season ... Laney was 5-5 in 2010 ... visited Texas State and New Mexico before choosing Cal Poly.
High School -- A 2010 graduate of Alhambra High School in Martinez, where he earned first-team All-Diablo Foothill Athletic League honors as both an offensive and defensive lineman ... also a second-team All-East Bay selection by the San Francisco Chronicle as an offensive lineman ... invited to play in East Bay vs. Sacramento Holiday Classic and Contra Costa County vs. Alameda County All-Star Game ... under head coach Dave Silveira, earned 72 tackles, 14 sacks, five pass breakups and forced three fumbles to lead the Bulldogs to an 11-2 record, Diablo Foothill Athletic League title and a berth in the semifinal round of the CIF-North Coast Section Division III playoffs ... a second-team All-Diablo Foothill Athletic League selection as a junior ... also lettered in varsity basketball and in track and field as a freshman and sophomore.
