2020 (Spring 2021) -- Started all three games on the defensive line ... nine total tackles, including five solo stops ... three tackles in each of the three contests, including one for lost yardage, a sack of seven yards, against Southern Utah.
2019 -- Started all 11 games at defensive tackle ... 35 total tackles (17 solo), including two tackles for lost yardage and 1.5 sacks ... career-high seven tackles at Weber State and added six stops versus San Diego ... one pass breakup at Southern Utah ... sacks were against Weber State and North Dakota ... earned team's most improved player award and garner All-Big Sky Conference honorable mention praise ... his uniform number (56) was on HERO Sports' jersey list of top returning players in the summer of 2020.
2018 -- Played in all 11 games with seven starts as a redshirt freshman ... notched 39 total tackles (20 solo), including season-high six stops against both Sacramento State and Northern Arizona ... added five tackles in season opener at North Dakota State ... 4.0 tackles for lost yardage -- two each at Sacramento State (one sack) and Northern Arizona ... forced a fumble in Northern Arizona game and recovered a fumble versus Montana State ... one quarterback hurry versus Brown ... earned a sack in 2019 Spring Game.
2017 -- Redshirt ... one tackle and one forced fumble in 2018 Spring Game.
High School -- Among the 90 tackles (63 solo) earned by Cecil during his senior season at La Salle High School were 12.5 sacks and the defensive end also was credited with 22 quarterback hurries ... recovered a fumble and caused another, helping the Lancers of head coach Russell Gordon to a 7-5 overall record and into the quarterfinal round of the CIF-Southern Section Division 9 playoffs ... Cecil notched a season-high 14 tackles against Notre Dame Prep and added 11 versus Salesian ... was named Pasadena Sports Now Defensive Player of the Year as well as the Angelus League's most valuable lineman and earned Defensive MVP award at the Blue-Grey All-American game at the Oakland Coliseum ... Cecil made 35 tackles (20 solo) as a junior and was a three-year varsity starter ... after visiting Army, Air Force, UC Davis, Montana State, Northern Arizona and Hawai'i, Cecil elected to be a Mustang because of "the proximity to home, academics and my relationship with the coaches."
