2013 -- Member of team but did not play in any games as a redshirt freshman ... expected to play a reserve role at left guard on the offensive line this fall.
2012 -- Redshirt.
High School -- Abou earned first-team All-Eastern League honors on the defensive line as a senior under head coach Joe Meyer at Scripps Ranch High School. Abou also is a two-time San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academic Team selection. Among team awards he earned last fall were team captain, defensive player of the year and outstanding defensive lineman. Scripps Ranch was 3-8 overall last fall, but earned a berth in the CIF-San Diego Section Division II playoffs. Abou, who recorded an interception and a sack in his senior season, was invited to play in the San Diego vs. Los Angeles Prep Star All-Star Game ... visited the University of San Diego before choosing Cal Poly.
