2024 -- Played in all 11 games... recorded a 31-yard rush against Northern Arizona... punted six times for 209 yards, averaging 34.8 yards per punt, with a long of 40 yards... two punts landed inside the 20 and three resulted in fair catches... also handled holder duties for field goals
2023-- Punted 21 times averaging 40 yards a punt... had six punts inside the 20 and one that was over 50 yards... longest punt was 66 yards...
2022 -- Played in four games, preserving his redshirt ... punted in the San Diego, South Dakota and Portland State games and also played versus Sacramento State ... averaged 38.4 yards on seven punts with a long of 48 yards ... one touchback, four fair catches and two ended up inside the 20.
High School -- Though he has yet to play a down of American football, Ehrlich will vie for Cal Poly's job as a punter after attending Mount Scopus Memorial College in Burwood, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia ... graduated in 2021 ... played Australian Rules football at club and high school levels ... sport captain as a senior and recognized as the best all-around athlete at his school in 2021 ... writes Aaron Perez, director and owner of The Punt Factory, "Jesse is a young and very talented punter. He is a lefty with a lot of room to grow and get stronger. Jesse has shown he can hit balls 50+-plus yards and 4.8-plus seconds of hang time. Coming from Australia, Jesse has a diverse set of skills and is very good with end over end rollouts as well as spiral rollouts. He is improving greatly on his directional, traditional punting and has a very quick get off. We believe with more improvement that Jesse can be one of the top punters in this class" ... Ehrlich also has attended the Chris Sailer Kicking Camp and achieved 5.0-plus hang times ... chose Cal Poly "because of its great location for my family and friends to visit from Australia. Additionally, the great football coaching staff and great team culture at Cal Poly definitely helped my decision to commit there."
Personal -- Son of Danny Ehrlich and Debbie Zauder ... one sister, Isabella ... hobbies include spending time with friends and playing different sports such as Australian Rules football and cricket ... saw "as much of America as possible" in summer of 2022 ... wants to pursue a career in punting and eventually take over his family's coffee business ... will return to Australia to be with family and friends in summer of 2023 for the first time in a year and also will train with his coach Sav Rocca ... born in Melbourne, Australia ... majoring in recreation, parks and tourism administration.
