2012 -- Played in all 12 games as a backup end on the defensive line ... highlight of his junior season is the Weber State game in which he was inserted into the game in the third quarter and responded with a pair of sacks, his only two tackles of the year ... also earned a quarterback hurry in season opener against San Diego ... expected to back up Jake Irwin and Chris Judge at left end this fall ... no tackles in 2013 Spring Game.

2011 -- Member of team but did not play in any games as a sophomore ... recorded four tackles, including one for lost yardage, in 2012 Spring Game.

2010 -- Member of team, but did not play in any games as a redshirt freshman.

2009 -- Redshirt.

High School -- After gaining 40 pounds in the offseason, Goebel was a wide receiver and linebacker and also punted and was on other special teams as a senior under Chris Andriano at Montini Catholic just outside Chicago ... caught 31 passes for 505 yards and six touchdowns on offense and recorded 77 tackles on defense to lead the Broncos to an 11-1 record and the quarterfinal round of the Class 5A playoffs ... earned all-state honors as both a wide receiver and linebacker ... also earned all-Suburban Catholic Conference and all-area honors ... also competed on the wrestling team, posting a 48-4 record with 29 pins en route to the Class AA state title at 215 pounds ... also played baseball as a freshman and sophomore ... member of Honor Roll and attained High Honor Roll accolades ... also visited Cornell University before choosing Cal Poly.
