2011 -- Played in all 11 games as a junior,backing up Andre Broadous at quarterback and also serving as theholder on special teams ... rushed and threw passes in two games... rushed five times for 31 yards, including a career-long 18-yardrun, and completed three of five passes for 20 yards against SouthDakota State ... also was quarterback in season finale at SouthAlabama, rushing four times for minus-10 yards (sacked twice) andthrowing one pass which was intercepted ... did not play in 2012Spring Game due to injury.

2010 -- Played in first four games of sophomoreseason, including a start against Texas State ... likely will bestbe remembered for second-half performance against then-No. 1Montana when he hit David Mahr with 83-yard touchdown pass,igniting Cal Poly’s come-from-behind 35-33 victory ... alsoconnected with Dominique Johnson on 25-yard scoring pass and rushednine times for 22 yards ... for season netted 111 yards on 36rushes, scoring once on one-yard run against Texas State, andcompleted 13 of 26 passes for 192 yards and two scores ... was10-for-21 passing for 64 yards in lone collegiate start so far, atTexas State on Sept. 18, 2010 ... also rushed for 79 yards on 23carries in that game ... was 3 of 7 for 18 yards and a touchdown in2011 Spring Game ... also rushed four times for 14 yards.

High School – Shumway passed for 2,023yards and rushed for 613 more for head coach Charlie Wegher’sAgoura High School Chargers in 2007 ... completed 160 of 246 passeswith six interceptions and 19 touchdowns as the Chargers finished6-4 overall and tied for third place in the Marmonte League with a4-3 mark ... averaged 263.6 yards of total offense per game enroute to first-team All-Marmonte League and second-team All-VenturaCounty honors ... twice was team MVP ... also played basketball forthe Chargers and twice was an All-Marmonte League point guard ...completed 121 of 205 passes for 1,429 yards and 11 scores with fiveinterceptions as a junior ... also rushed for 211 yards and twoTDs, earning second-team All-Marmonte League honors ... competed intrack and field as a sophomore.
