A 2024 graduate of Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California, he was a four-star recruit and ranked as the nation's No. 17 quarterback. A two-time all-league first-team selection and all-CIF honoree, he capped off his senior season by completing 191 of 275 passes (69.4%) for 2,618 yards and 25 touchdowns while leading Etiwanda to the CIF playoffs. He also contributed 223 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. As a junior in 2022, he guided Etiwanda to the California CIF-Southern Section Division 5 championship, throwing for 3,390 yards and 21 touchdowns on 256-of-413 passing (62%) while adding 113 rushing yards and three scores. He spent his sophomore season at Serra High School in 2021 and was also recognized as an honor roll student throughout his academic career
