2015 -- Redshirt ... named offensive scout team player of the year ... expected to back up DJ Peluso and Kyle Lewis at the S-Back position this fall ... three carries in 2016 Spring Game.
High School -- Playing in just seven games as a senior under head coach Marvin Sanders at Loyola High School in Los Angeles, Cooper rushed for 783 yards and nine touchdowns and caught a pair of passes as a running back and made 37 tackles (24 solo), including one sack, as an outside linebacker en route to team most valuable player honors ... his single-game rushing high was 201 yards on just 16 carries, scoring once, against Salesian and Cooper produced two other 100-yard games ... Loyola was 4-6 last fall ... as a junior in 2013, Cooper rushed for 161 yards and one score, caught one pass and made 28 tackles (18 solo) en route to second-team All-Serra League honors ... member of school's African-American Student Association ... chose Cal Poly "because not too many cities top living in San Luis Obispo, and I get to play football, the sport I love, while getting a great education."
