After battling three other quarterbacks for playing time in 2013 and backing up Chris Brown in 2014, utilized his redshirt year in 2015 ... listed No. 1 on the preseason depth chart at quarterback in final season as a Mustang.
2015 -- Redshirt ... in 2013 and 2014 campaigns rushed for 536 yards and five touchdowns and completed 51 of 85 passes for 499 yards and four scores in 11 games ... “Dano is a team leader,” said head coach Tim?Walsh ... “Anytime you have a guy who has started five games over the last two years and has only lost four or five games in his entire career, high school and college, you’ve got to be excited.” ... Graves engineered a 70-yard, 12-play drive to open the 2016 Spring Game ... completed three of four passes for 33 yards and rushed three times for nine yards ... "He had a really good command of what we were doing during the first 12 plays of the Spring Game," said Walsh ... he really understands our offense."
2014 -- As Brown's backup, played in five games and completed six of 10 passes for 83 yards and a touchdown, a 49-yard strike to Chris Nicholls in the season finale at San Diego ... rushed for 94 yards and two scores against Toreros as well ... for season rushed for 169 yards on 31 carries with five going for touchdowns ... longest run was 21 yards for a touchdown against San Diego ... did not play in 2015 Spring Game.
2013 -- Emerged from a four-man preseason quarterback battle by playing in six games, including five starts, as a sophomore after transferring to Cal Poly from Air Force two weeks prior to spring drills ... completed 45 of 75 passes (60 percent) for 416 yards and three touchdowns ... all three scores were in first start of season against Weber State, when he completed 13 of 16 passes for 169 yards ... also rushed for 116 yards on 17 carries against Wildcats ... completed 13 of 18 passes for 95 yards and rushed for 91 yards on 14 trips against Montana and connected on 11 of 22 passes for 115 yards and rushed 18 times for 86 yards against Northern Arizona ... finished year with 367 rushing yards on 68 carries, averaging 5.4 yards per trip ... longest run was 28 yards against Weber State ... played in 2014 Spring Game and completed all five passes for 54 yards ... also rushed four times for seven yards.
Air Force -- Attended Air Force Academy for two years ... split time with Jaleel Awini as starting quarterback for the Prep School team that went 6-3 in 2011 and 5-2 in the highly competitive Jayhawk Conference at the community college level ... played on Air Force’s junior varsity team in 2012 ... transferred to Cal Poly in time for 2013 spring ball and completed two of eight passes for 22 yards in 2013 Spring Game ... was intercepted by Kevin Britt ... gained 45 yards on 11 rushes.
High School -- A highly decorated quarterback and 2010 MaxPreps National Player of the Year as a senior under head coach Kris Richardson at Folsom High School ... completed 236 of 363 passes (65 percent) for 3,702 yards and 62 touchdowns ... also rushed for 994 yards and 23 more scores ... his 85 touchdowns is a state record ... led Folsom to a 14-1 record and state Division II championship ... named Sacramento Bee player of the year and Cal-Hi Sports Mr. Football state player of the year ... scored six touchdowns against Grant for CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section Division II title ... also scored six touchdowns in the mud at Home Depot Center in Carson to lead Folsom to 48-20 win over Serra for state Division II crown ... intercepted just six times on 363 attempts ... as a junior accumulated 4,756 yards and 66 touchdowns rushing and passing, giving him 9,452 yards and 151 touchdowns over two seasons ... Folsom won 25 of 28 games in 2010 and 2011 ... in two-year prep career, Graves completed 482 of 690 passes (70 percent) for 7,584 yards and 114 touchdowns and rushed for 1,868 yards and 37 more scores ... compiled 23 games of 200-plus yards passing (career-high 466 against Sheldon in 2009) and five games of 100-plus yards rushing (career-high 160 against Del Oro in 2009) ... also played baseball at Folsom, hitting .320 as a senior in 2011 ... also considered Sacramento State in the recruiting process.
