Machado made 12 total tackles, including a half-sack and four tackles for lost yardage, in limited duty on defense last fall and led the Warriors to a 9-3 overall record, 6-1 mark for second place in the West Catholic Athletic League and a berth in the semifinal round of the CIF-Central Coast Section Division Open Division 2 playoffs ... also played on Valley Christian's 2016 squad that posted a 13-2 mark, claimed a share of the WCAL title, captured the CIF-Central Coast Section Open Division 3 championship and finished runner-up in the state 2-AA Division playoffs ...
