Expected to handle Cal Poly's kickoffs, PATs and field goals in second season with the Mustangs this fall.
2019 -- As a true freshman played all 11 games handling Cal Poly's kicking duties ... made all 34 of his extra-point kicks and seven of 13 field goals ... one of five kickers in Cal Poly's Division I history to make 100 percent of his PAT attempts ... longest field goal was 52 yards at UC Davis ... also made a 44-yarder at Idaho and 42 yards versus North Dakota ... averaged 59.9 yards on 54 kickoffs with 22 touchbacks and just two kicks out of bounds ... average yard line for opponents to start their drives was the 26-yard line.
High School -- Under head coach Michael Hartman at Arroyo Grande High School, Theaker made all of his 45 PAT attempts and was 10 of 15 on field goals with a long of 52 yards during senior season ... also averaged 34.1 yards on 28 punts and 63.8 yards on 66 kickoffs with 55 touchbacks ... helped Eagles to 8-4 overall mark, third-place Mountain League finish and into the quarterfinal round of the CIF-Central Section Division 1 playoffs ... earned first-team All-Mountain League honors as a kicker and landed on CalHi Sports' All-State Medium Schools First Team ... as a junior made 38 of 39 PATs and seven of 10 field goals ... also played defense in 2017 with 36 tackles … was named to the All-Pac 5 League and All-CIF-Southern Section Division 2 first team ... made 45 of 49 PAT kicks and six of seven field goals with a long of 44 yards as a sophomore ... career totals are 128 of 133 PAT kicks and 23 of 32 field goals ... ranked as the No. 10 prospect by Chris Sailer Kicking ... said Sailer: "Colton is an outstanding high school kicking prospect. He is a great looking athlete with elite leg strength. He hits a big time D1 ball off the ground on field goal. He gets great lift on his ball and easily has 55+ yard range. He is strong on kickoffs, D1 ready. He drives the ball deep with big hang time. Colton also has the size and athleticism to develop as a punter. He shows he can hit a big ball and his consistency is improving. He is a big time competitor that does very well under pressure. I am excited about his future.
