Andrew Hunter is a fourth-year communication studies major at Cal Poly and was a member of the Cal Poly football team in 2012 as a redshirt and 2013 as a backup linebacker.
Hunter earned three varsity letters under head coach Sean Doyle at Cathedral Catholic High School, helping the Dons to 34 wins, three CIF-San Diego Section Division III titles (2008-10) and the 2008 California state Division II crown.
He recorded 3.5 sacks in his junior season (2009). The Dons were 14-0 en route to the state Division II title in 2008, 12-1 in 2009 and 8-5 in 2010.
