2015 -- Played in all 11 games as a backup to Willie Tucker and Roland Jackson Jr. at X-Back (wide receiver) as a junior ... will move to the Z-Back position this fall ... did not make any catches ... caught two passes for 13 yards in 2016 Spring Game.
2014 -- Played in all 12 games as a backup wide receiver and made three catches for 26 yards ... two receptions against South Dakota State and one against Northern Arizona ... caught a pair of passes for 40 yards in 2015 Spring Game, including a 29-yarder from Andrew Barna.
2013 -- Played in eight games with four starts as a redshirt freshman ... four catches for 62 yards, including three receptions in final game of season at Northern Colorado ... also caught a pass in Weber State game ... expected to back up the Z-Backs (wide receivers) this fall ... no catches in 2014 Spring Game.
2012 -- Redshirt ... made two catches for 23 yards in 2013 Spring Game ... one of the receptions was a 16-yarder from Vince Moraga for a touchdown.
High School -- In eight games under head coach Kris Richardson at Folsom High School, McMurtrey caught 51 passes for 987 yards and eight touchdowns ... missed several early season contests due to a hamstring injury ... caught 12 passes for 224 yards and a touchdown -- a 99-yarder from Tanner Trosin -- in the CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section Division II championship game against Vacaville, won by Vacaville 39-35 ... also caught nine passes in games against Grant and Elk Grove and caught four passes, all for touchdowns, for 200 yards against Rio Linda ... Folsom finished 11-3 overall and second in the Delta River League at 4-1 ... played in the Battle of the Bay All-Star Game in December 2011 ... a teammate of Trosin since seventh grade, McMurtrey caught 12 passes for 160 yards and one score as a junior at Folsom ... Bulldogs were 14-1 and state Division II champions in 2010 ... also lettered in baseball as a freshman and sophomore.
