Four-year varsity wrestler, team captain as a junior and senior, three-time league champion, divisional champion as a senior, and ranked as high as No. 3 in California while posting a 37-3 record during his senior season. As a senior in football, recorded 43 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and 96 pancake blocks on offense, while serving as team captain in both his junior and senior seasons.
