2023 -- Indoor: Competed indoors for the first time, recording indoor season best in the pole vault of 15 feet, 6.5 inches at Don Kirby Elite Invitational. Outdoor: In third appearance at Big West Championships, placed ninth in the pole vault (16-1.75) ... recorded a lifetime best in the pole vault (16-5.25) at the Bulldog Classic to place first, helping him earn Big West Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors for the first time ... received Big West All-Academic honors.
2022 -- Finished seventh in the pole vault at the Big West Conference Championships to score team points for the Mustangs … competed in seven meets in second season at Cal Poly … finished first in the pole vault at the Cal Poly Invitational with a personal best of 16 feet, 2.75 inches … placed second in the pole vault at the UCSB Invitational … received Big West Conference All-Academic honors.
2021 -- Competed in five meets as a true freshman at Cal Poly ... improved personal best in pole vault to 16-1 1/4 for fifth place in Big West Conference Championships ... won pole vault event in Cal Poly Spring Break Challenge at 16-0 3/4 ... second at Cal Poly Four-Way Meet (15-11), third in Wildflower Invitational (16-0 3/4) and fourth in Fresno State Invitational (15-3).
Prep -- With San Marcos High School, took second place in the pole vault at the CIF San Diego Section Finals in 2019, clearing 15 feet, 9 inches at Mt. Carmel High … set the school record at SMHS … also for the Knights, jumped 15’ 2” at the 2020 California Winter State Meet in February at Arcadia … additionally, also competed with the Poway Pole Vault Club, clearing 15-foot-2 in January of his senior year at Livestock Arena in Reno, good for eighth place at the National Pole Vault Summit ... also during his junior year, came in eighth place at the CIF State Finals, and took fourth at the USATF Junior Nationals ... meanwhile, was concurrently a California Scholarship Federation and National Honor Society student.
Personal -- Majoring in business ... also visited Army and Cal State Fullerton; chose Cal Poly saying, “I believe that Cal Poly’s great academic reputation and athletic dominance will match my determination and allow me to set myself up for a successful future” ... aspires to become an entrepreneur.
