LA QUINTA – With junior Jack Jarvis (above) and freshman Rafael Bobo-Lloret tied for eighth place, four Mustangs sit inside the top 15 players on the Big West Championship leaderboard with the Cal Poly men’s golf program second overall following Sunday’s opening round.
At the 7,056-yard, par-72 La Quinta Country Club, Jarvis and Bobo-Lloret fired dual even-par 72s and enter Monday’s second round five strokes behind Long Beach State’s Steen Zeman. Jarvis enjoyed two birdies as did Bobo-Lloret – who also eagled the par-five, 516-yard fifth hole.
