
Two in Top 25 as Mustangs Sixth to Close Ohio State’s Kepler Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sophomore Nolan Kuszyk finished 19th overall to highlight three Cal Poly men’s golfers that finished under par during Sunday’s final round at Ohio State’s Robert Kepler Invitational as the Mustangs – as a program – were sixth to complete the final regular season tournament.
At the par-72, 7,077-yard Columbus Country Club, Kuszyk closed play with a one-under 71 that included five birdies and an eagle on the 491-yard, par-five eighth hole. Kuszyk produced a three-round, three-under 213 (73-69-71).
Graduate student Kyle Dougherty was even par Sunday, finishing a shot behind Kuszyk in 24th place overall with a two-under 214 (74-68-72).
Freshman Rafael Bobo-Lloret carded a one-under 71 with a pair of birdies Sunday to complete an even-par 216 (68-77-71) and 32nd-place showing.
Junior Jack Jarvis, meanwhile, recorded a four-over 76 Sunday and finished 57th overall with four-over 220 (71-73-76).
As a program, Cal Poly dropped one spot on Sunday to sixth, recording a collective three-under 861 (286-287-288).
Cal Poly next enjoys a three-week break before the May 3-5 Big West Championship at La Quinta (Calif.) Country Club. The first of three rounds begins on Sunday, May 3.
