
Cal Poly Adds Fresno State Transfer Defensive Back RL Miller

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Cal Poly football head coach Tim Skipper has landed Fresno State transfer defensive back RL Miller to its 2026 roster.
Miller has spent the last three seasons with the Bulldogs, appearing in 23 games. In that time, he recorded 22 tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass breakup. He also was an Academic All-Mountain West recipient there.
A native of San Francisco, Miller attended Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep. There, he was a first team All-League player as a junior and a senior. He was the MVP of the State Championship game in 2021 and named the wide receiver of the year in 2022. He was nominated for the award given to the best football player in San Francisco and maintained a 3.0 GPA or higher in all four years. For his career, totaled 32 tackles, five interceptions and 143 interception return yards defensively.
