
Cal Poly Football Announces Complete 2025 Schedule

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Cal Poly football released its 2025 schedule Thursday, highlighted by five home games and for the first time, a 12 game schedule.
This year’s home schedule features games against rival UC Davis as well as hosting this past season’s national runner up in Montana State. Fans can already purchase/renew their season tickets HERE.
HOME
This year’s home schedule features one non-conference game and four Big Sky games. The Mustangs’ 2025 home opener will be Sept. 13 at 5 p.m. against Division II Western Oregon, whom the Mustangs beat in last year’s home opener.
The first conference home game will be against rival UC Davis Oct. 4 at 5 p.m. for the 51st edition of the Battle of the Golden Horseshoe. Cal Poly then hosts Montana State, who made it to the FCS National Championship game last season, Oct. 25 at 5 p.m.
The home slate is rounded out with games against Portland State Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. and Eastern Washington Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. for the regular season finale.
AWAY
Cal Poly will play seven regular season road games in 2025. They will open the season on the road for a second straight year at the University of San Diego Aug. 30. That will be followed by a trip to Salt Lake City Sept. 6 to face FBS and Big 12 member Utah.
The Mustangs will finish off non-conference play Sept. 20 when they travel to Nacogdoches, Texas to take on Stephen F. Austin, member of the FCS and Southland Conference.
The start of Big Sky play sees Cal Poly head north to the state capital to face Sacramento State Sept. 27 before another road trip to Missoula for a matchup against the University of Montana Oct. 11.
Cal Poly’s final two road games of the year are against Idaho State on Nov. 8 and Northern Arizona on Nov. 15.
The Mustangs, who have already completed their 2025 spring ball practices, will begin fall training camp at the end of July.
