SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — For the first time since 2010 the Big West is ready to host a postseason swimming and diving tournament with the latest iteration at the University of Houston’s CRWC Natatorium this week.
Cal Poly is searching for its first Swimming and Diving Conference Championship in the Division I era. The men’s team will also certainly be eyeing its highest finish in that same timeframe after going unbeaten in dual meets this season, which included a win over title contender UC Santa Barbara.

We've been swimming great all year, so I expect we will also swim very fast at conference. I'm looking forward to our relays breaking a few more school records!Interim Co-Head Swim Coach Kim Foster Carlson
A total of 24 program top-5 marks have been set this season between the men’s and women’s teams with 7 of those being new school records: three set by Evan Yoo, two by Drew Huston, and two by the medley relay teams.
Thus far, Yoo and Huston have posted impressive NCAA B-Cut times in the 200 Breast and 200 Back, respectively, but will be looking to shave off even more time in search of a more certain NCAA berth.
Yoo remains on his undefeated streak stretching back three meets (CSUB 1/4, UCSC 1/10, Pacific 1/17) and 12 total races. The junior transfer’s stellar performances earned him consecutive Big West Men’s Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week honors following the UC Santa Cruz and Pacific dual meets.
With today's 147-115 victory over Pacific, the men's swimming and diving team has finished the season undefeated in dual meets, highlighted by another pair of program marks being broken!#RideHigh pic.twitter.com/8pMK6cf5Pa

On the diving end, both the men’s and women’s team have posted Zone Qualifying athletes in Justin Dolezal and Ava Lazovsky who will be competing on the boards to help the Mustangs place highly at the championships.
Dolezal has set two new program top-5 marks this season: 332.90 in the 3-meter for fourth in the program top-5 and 265.20 in the platform for second. Abigail Leight earned her own second-best program platform score (195.60) with Lazovsky following behind at 186.40 in fifth.
