Against the Matadors, five Mustangs recorded double-digit kills and the team combined to crush this season’s single-match digs mark with 81.
 - It has been well over a calendar year since the Mustangs last dropped a match at home (Oct. 26, 2024), and they aim to defend that streak once more against Long Beach State (Friday, 6 p.m.) and UC San Diego (Saturday, 5 p.m.). Friday’s evening matchup is Junior High Night!

Women’s Soccer Heads to Northridge to Battle Titans in Big West Semifinals
- Cal Poly is seeking its 10th Big West Championship match appearance when they take on the Titans on Thursday, who they defeated 2-0 in San Luis Obispo during the regular season. The Mustangs have emerged victorious in nine of their 14 Big West semifinal matches all-time and are looking to earn a spot in the title match for the third time in the last five seasons.
 - The Mustangs will lean heavily on their three offensive stars as they enter postseason play and look to make a run — graduate student midfielder Madelyn Dougherty, senior Jessie Halladay and junior Annika Smith. The trio has combined to score 19 out of Cal Poly’s 29 total goals this season and dished out 15 assists.
 - Halladay and Smith are tied for the Big West lead in goals entering the postseason with seven each, while Dougherty and Halladay are tied for second in the conference in points with 18. Dougherty and Smith both earned All-Big West First Team selections on Saturday, while Smith was also crowned the Big West Offensive Player of the Year — just the second in program history. Halladay was named to the All-Big West Second Team.
 - Cal Poly’s defense has been just as formidable this season, posting eight shutouts. All-Big West Freshman Team selection Shannon Porubski has set the stone with seven clean sheets between the pipes, while senior center back Brennan Cole has been the anchor on the back line all season long, making crucial tackles in key moments. For her performance this season, Cole was selected to the All-Big West First Team and named the Big West Defensive Player of the Year, the sixth player in program history to receive the award.
