SAN LUIS OBISPO – Back on the course following its most successful tournament of the season, the Cal Poly men’s golf program closes the fall portion of its 2025-26 schedule when hosting The Preserve Golf Club Collegiate Oct. 27-28.
Play at The Preserve Golf Club in Carmel Valley, Calif., consists of 36 holes Monday, Oct. 27 before a final 18 holes Tuesday, Oct. 28.
Previously named by Golf Digest as one of America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses and currently ranked 15th in California, the par-72 Preserve covers 7,041 yards set within The Santa Lucia Preserve.
The 11-program field for 2025 consists of No. 25 BYU, No. 32 Long Beach State, No. 48 California, No. 56 San Diego, Colorado State, Grand Canyon, Kent State, Oregon, Saint Mary’s, and Santa Clara. Finishing third at last year’s event, Colorado State is the top returning program from a year ago.
The Mustangs produced their lowest scoring tournament of the season at the Oct. 20-22 Saint Mary Invitational, firing a collective six-over 870 to finish eighth among 16 programs.
Individually, sophomore Nolan Kuszyk – an All-Big West second team honoree last spring – finished 18th at the Saint Mary’s Invitational with an even-par 216. Freshman Rafael Bobo-Lloret turned in the lowest score by a Mustang this fall by closing the Saint Mary’s Invitational with a five-under 67.
Following play at The Preserve, Cal Poly opens the spring portion of the 2025-26 schedule at College of Charleston’s Battle at Briar’s Creek, scheduled for Feb. 2-3 in Johns Island, S.C.
