Shah Earns Big West Player of the Week Honors

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif - Cal Poly women’s basketball senior guard Annika Shah has been
named Big West Player of the Week after stellar performances last week.
Shah scored a combined 35 points over two games, averaging at 17.5 points per game and shooting an impressive 9-14 from three.
Shah had the best scoring game of her collegiate career in a win against UC San Diego, finishing with a career-high 27 points while going 7-8 from three. She also had five rebounds and five assists in that game. She then contributed eight points in the Mustangs’ win at UC Santa Barbara. This marks Shah’s second time in her collegiate career earning this award of Big West Player of the Week honor.
Individually, Shah ranks fourth in the Big West, scoring an average of 14.6 points per game and leads the conference in three point shooting. Her consistency has placed her ninth nationally in three-pointers made per game with over three made per game.
The Mustangs are set to play at UC Davis Thursday before returning home to face UC Irvine on Saturday, January 18th.
