SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Coming off a strong 2023-24 season, Cal Poly women’s golf will tee off the 2024-25 season with the first of four fall tournaments starting at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, NM Sept. 9-10.
The field for the upcoming first tournament features New Mexico, BYU, Cal State Fullerton, Hawai’i, last year’ Big West champion Long Beach State, Pepperdine, and UNLV among others.
I have coached a lot of teams through the years at this course and love kicking our season off in New Mexico. It is a good test of golf and has been the host of both NCAA Regional and Final Championships.Third Year Head Coach Courtney Roberts
The Mustangs return four letterwinners from last season’s team that finished second in the Big West, including three who earned All-Big West honors. Among them are redshirt senior Jensen Jalufka, who earned First Team All-Big West in 2024, placed second individually at the Big West Championship, and who set a program record in 2023-24 for lowest scoring average in program history of 72.7.
Also back is senior Kamille Dimayuga, who earned Second Team All-Big West honors last year after four top 20 finishes and eight rounds at or below par. Sophomore Sarah Yoo is back after a stellar freshman campaign in which she earned Honorable Mention All-Big West honors.
Jensen and Kamille will be strong leaders for our team both on and off the golf course in their final season competi.ng as MustangsHead Coach Courtney Roberts
Joining the group this year are three true freshmen: Jenny Keil from Bangkok, Thailand; Nicole Koong from Sammamish, Wash.; and Sara Torres from Bogota, Colombia who was with the Mustangs practicing all last spring.
“Our team has a great mix of veterans returning to the lineup and an influx of new talent.”
Following this first tournament in New Mexico, the Mustangs will head up to Washington the following week for the Leadership and Golf Invitational at the historic Chambers Bay Golf Course.
