MIKE FANELLI TRACK CLASSIC RESULTS
STANFORD, Calif. — Despite some challenging conditions, the Cal Poly track and field program returned home from the Bay Area with a number of impressive performances while taking part in the prestigious Stanford Invitational and Mike Fanelli Track Classic on Friday and Saturday.
At the Stanford Invitational, junior Travis Martin broke his own school record in the men's hammer throw, graduate students Davis Bove and Will Fallini-Haas both recorded top-five marks in program history in the men's 5,000-meter and Cal Poly's men's and women's 4x400-meter relay teams both recorded their fastest times in 16 years.

In the first event on the track for the Mustangs at the Stanford Invitational, Fallini-Haas went out and ran a lifetime best in the 5,000 on Friday morning. The toss allowed Martin to regain sole possession of the school record after Martin and sophomore Rory Devaney both posted a mark of 216 feet, 6 inches at the Mark Conover Classic last week. to share the program record. Martin broke the school record for the first time on March 8 at the UC Santa Barbara Invite in his first meet as a Mustang.

The Cal Poly men's 4x400 relay also captured first at the meet as the final section of the event was canceled due to lightning.
