Cal Poly Divers Wrap Up Season at NCAA Zones

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — The Cal Poly diving program wrapped up its season this Monday through Wednesday at the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships hosted by Northern Arizona University at the Wall Aquatic Center.
Senior Briana Medvecki and freshmen Justin Dolezal and Shayna Gayer all competed for the Mustangs.
During the opening day of the meet Monday, Medvecki and Gayer finished 46th and 47th respectively in the prelims of the women's 1-meter dive, while Dolezal took 30th in the prelims of the men's 3-meter. Gayer was the only Mustang that hit the diving board Tuesday, placing 44th in the prelims of the women's 3-meter.
Dolezal capped off the season for the Mustangs on Wednesday by grabbing 31st in the men's 1-meter prelims.
For Medvecki, it was her final meet as a Mustang. She is currently No. 2 all-time in school history in both the women's 1-meter and 3-meter dives.
