
Neale Tied for First, Mustangs in Second After Day One of Causeway Invitational

SACRAMENTO — Senior Cal Poly women's golfer Nicole Neale sits tied for first while the entire Mustang women's team is currently in second place after the first day of competition at the Causeway Invitational in Sacramento Monday.
Playing at the Del Paso Country Club, the format saw participants play the first two rounds Monday with the final round of play set for Tuesday. All five Mustang golfers competing are in the top 25 of the standings heading into the final round.
Neale carded back-to-back rounds of even par 72's to put herself in a six-way tie for first. As a team, the Mustangs are second at +5 after totaling 581, just two shots back of first place Sacramento State.
Junior Kamille Dimayuga is tied for seventh and just one shot back of first at +1 heading into Tuesday. She finished with rounds of 74 and 71 Monday. She led all players in scoring on Par 4's with at two under on those.
Freshman Sarah Yoo is tied for 11th at +2. She bounced back after shooting a 77 in the first round to a blistering 69 in the second.
Redshirt junior Jensen Jalufka is tied for 22nd at +5 while graduate student Kaylee Sakoda is tied for 31st at +7.
